Bermuda Triangle is a clan based around mermaid idols. Their main goal is building up nice columns, but they have a strong sub theme of increasing their hand size through bounce (returning to hand) and draw effects. They should be available in English in EB-02 - Banquet of Divas, which will be released in November.
So basically, the whole set is all Bermuda Triangle. You could probably be able to put together a deck with 1 to 2 boxes (albeit not an entirely good one).
In any case, let's have a look at the boss cards of the deck:
Top Idol, Pacifica
Grade 3/ 10000 power/ Mermaid (RRR rarity)
Continuous 【V】: During your turn, if you have 4 or more 《Bermuda △》 units in your (R), this unit gets Power +3000.
Auto 【V】: At the start of your Main Phase, Soulcharge (1), draw 1 card, then select 1 card in your hand and place it at the bottom of your deck.
Auto 【V/R】: [Soul Blast (8), Counter Blast (5)] When this unit's attack hits the vanguard, you may pay the cost. If paid, search up to 3 《Bermuda △》 from your deck and Call them to separate (R).
Basically catering to Lolicons, this is one of the better bosses in this deck. It builds up some soul for your soulblast effects, let's you filter your hand and build up a small stack by returning your triggers to the bottom of the deck. You probably want to forget about the megablast though, as awesome as it sounds you are probably not going to get it off unless the situation is an extreme case.
Top Idol Riviere
Grade 3/ 10000 power/ Mermaid (RRR rarity)
CONT 【V】: If you have a card named"Super Idol Riviere" in your Soul, this unit gets Power +1000.
AUTO【V】: [Counter Blast (2) & Choose a "Top Idol Riviere" from your hand, and discard it] When this unit's attack hits an vanguard, you may pay the cost. if you do, choose up to three of your 《Bermuda Triangle》rear-guards, and those units get Power +5000 until the of turn.
This unit is the top of the line for the clan's ride chain. It should probably make the best use of your hand due to its 11k defense, but it does not go off most of the time. The persona blast is scary good pressure though, if you have a surplus copy (a good chance due to all the drawing you are aiming to do), you can bring about the mother god of all storms a la Soul Saver Dragon to force about even more shield, or heck, damage at the worst case. You want to play only Criticals and draws with this, and you should probably pair this with Pacifica as your back up ride. Personally, there are better units to use due to the inconsistency of the ride chain (pulling it off anyway), but this is an option to look at.
Bermuda Princess, Lena
Grade 3/10000 power/ Mermaid (RR rarity)
Continuous 【V】: During your turn, if you have 4 or more 《Bermuda △》Rearguards, this Unit gains +3000 Power.
Auto: When this Unit is called to the Vanguard Circle, send all of your 《Bermuda △》 Rearguards back to your hand.
This unit makes a great sub-boss. She can swing for decent numbers, but the real kicker is her bounce effect, which makes her similar to Sakuya (although she complements the theme better). Combining her with the bounce effects and on-call effects can bring about a large amount of card advantage with a single ride, lets you reset up your columns, and to top it off, she's smoking hawt.
Velvet Voice, Raindear
Grade 3/10000 power/ Mermaid (Common)
AUTO 【V】:[Choose 1 of your 《Bermuda △》 Rearguard and return it to your hand] When this unit Drive Checks a Grade 3 《Bermuda △》, you may pay the cost. If you did, select up to 1 《Bermuda △》 from your hand and call it onto an empty Rearguard Circle
You all know that the Grade 3 drive check engine is actually rather consistent (albeit somewhat luck-based). Raindear is no different. Drive checking a grade 3 = practically getting another attack (Like Asura Kaiser) since you can return a unit that has already attacked to your hand and call it again (or another unit if you want) to have it standing and ready to attack again. However, you can take it further. Combine this with the on-bounce effects (Rainbow Light Carine or Girl Rock Rio) lets you increase your hand size and soul., or even an all call effect as a neat little combat trick. This is, IMO, the best example of a common that you can build around and play if you want to pick up the general idea of playing Bermuda Triangle on the cheap.
So let's talk deck building. It's not a budget primer if I talk about Pacifica and Riviere, which are RRRs and cost a fair penny for a playset. In addition, I feel that build around the other 2 bosses reflects on the theme better for a stronger playstyle, but yeah. Let's say you are a casual player who (blaming the economy, 1st world problems, blah blah blah), is recently tight on your wallet. Onward to the deck builds.
Raindear Build:
Mermaid Idol, Weddell
8 Criticals
4 Stand/Draw
4 Heal
4 Mermaid Idol, Sedna
4 Prism of Water's Surface, Miltoa
3 Mermaid Idol, Felucca/ Pearl Sisters, Perle
3 Navy Dolphin, Ameer/ Perfect Guard (Mermaid Idol, Elly)
4 Top Idol, Aqua
3 Mermaid Idol, Flute/ Girl Rock Rio
4 Pearl Sisters, Perla/ Diva of Clear Seas, Izumi
4 Velvet Voice, Raindear
3 Rainbow Light, Carine
2 Top Idol, Flores
Basically, the best part about this is that you can put it together using mostly commons, so this deck can set you back about $5 at the most, but efficiency comes about when you include some RRs into the mix. You practically have several bounce effects (Raindear, Perla, Flores) coupled with on-call (Miltoa) and on-Bounce (Carine and Rio) for one monster of a deck. With all the draw and bouncing you aim to be doing in the deck, you probably want to play stands over draws in the deck since you want to be the aggressor for the most part.
Lena build:
Mermaid Idol, Weddell
8 Crit
4 Draw/ Stand
4 Heal
4 Mermaid Idol, Sedna
4 Prism of Water's surface, Miltoa
3 Mermaid Idol, Felucca
4 Mermaid Idol, Elly/ Blazer Idols
4 Top Idol, Aqua
3 Girl Rock Rio
4 Pearl Sisters, Perla
3 Bermuda Princess, Lena
2 Top Idol, Flores
3 Rainbow Voice, Carine
Unlike Raindear, you are getting your bonus with one explosive ride. That's basically the difference, except that you are playing less grade 3s, the Lenas are more expensive, and it's less luck based to an extent.
That's basically it. I won't be going into the Pacifica or Riviere builds, but this is Bermuda Triangle within 30 (heck, probably 10 minutes) minutes or less. See you next post!
